Atlas Abstract & Title, Inc is a family owned business that was established in 1994 with the goal of being the best title company in the Brainerd Lakes area. Atlas has been able to flourish for decades and has transitioned into a staple within the Brainerd Lakes Area real estate scene.

Atlas has served over 50,000 customers since its beginnings in the 90’s. One of the biggest reasons Atlas continues to help individuals and families with real estate transactions is because they provide highly personalized service, where you speak directly with your closer or with the owner without getting the run-around. Meet the Owner:
David Jensen was born and raised in the great Brainerd Area. Growing up in this part of Minnesota played a huge role in forming him into the man he is today. David enjoys spending time in God’s creation whether that be hunting, fishing, sports, or anything with his family. David attended Crown College where he received a degree in Business Administration and eventually acquired his Masters Degree in Business Administration. He moved back to Brainerd in 2016, shortly after college and started working for Atlas. In 2018 David met the love of his life, Chelby, on a blind date. Now he and his wife live in Brainerd with their two dogs North and Charlie.

David has a real passion for business and for helping people. Owning Atlas has provided an opportunity to take advantage of both those passions.

Meet the Founders:
Nate and Laura Jensen are the founders of Atlas (Yep! They’re David’s parents). In 1994 they decided to branch out, take a leap of faith, and open Atlas Abstract & Title. They found a way to bring a high level of service to the Brainerd Lakes Area that realtors and lenders have continued to appreciate year after year. They built a business that they’re proud to have started from the ground up and are ecstatic to be able to sell it to one of their sons.

For years Laura has been making sure the checks are cut correctly after real estate closings and verifies all the funds are handled correctly through meticulous reconciliations. Nate has worked for years to become the best title examiner in the Brainerd Area. Lenders, realtors, and clients have been able to relax knowing that their file has been looked at by Nate. Both Nate and Laura are enjoying the process of stepping back from work. They’re both still employed at Atlas, but are finding ways to spend more time with the rest of their family now that they have officially sold the business.

David isn’t their only child. In fact, he is actually number three out of four total. Their oldest two children both live out of state. David is their third child. Their youngest lives in Brainerd and is working for a local real estate company. Nate and Laura are very thankful for the many opportunities that owning Atlas provided for them as a family.
